No. Searching for a song and viewing its chords, tabs and diagrams is free and needs no account. Connecting Spotify is optional and only adds automatic detection of the song that is currently playing.

Chordify shows the highest-rated version of a song by default, and lets you switch to any other version it finds, including tabs, bass, ukulele and video lessons.

Yes. Transposing shifts every chord by a chosen number of semitones and redraws the fingering diagrams to match. A capo helper suggests capo positions that turn the song into easier open shapes, and a simplify option reduces complex chords such as C#m7b5 to plain triads like C#m.

Does the chord sheet scroll by itself?

Yes. Auto-scroll moves the sheet at an adjustable speed so you can keep both hands on the instrument. With Spotify connected it follows the track's actual playback position instead, and you can nudge the sync offset if it drifts.

Why is Spotify sign-in invite only?

Spotify limits apps in developer mode to five connected accounts, so sign-in is restricted to invited users. Every other feature of Chordify works without a Spotify account.
